Main: Studio One V3 (Cubase Pro 9.0.1 on ice until future update solves some issues), Win 7 64-bit, i7-4790K @ 4.6GHz, ASUS Maximus VI Gene Z87 mATX. (for keyboard players at least) What I found interesting while studying Jazz harmony is that they tell you all the notes that are piled up to spell out. The manual is pretty clear about LLM mode disabling sends and plugins on any track that is in record ready(you can tell as the little 'buttons' that represent sends and plugins go blue). BTW, when they are inactive, they go grey. Let the learning begin (IOW, don't get discouraged by all this. There's a lot to learn and you'll get there in time) If you hate reading manuals, try searching youtube for 'pro tools and ________(insert issue here)' without the quotes as there are lots of tutorials(some better than others). Another great source of videos is pro-tool-expert. High Low Chart. Minmi Who`s Theme Instrumental Download on this page. com(toss them a donation as it will be well worth it).

Greetings- I'm having an issue which I'm hoping there's a simple solution for. I wanted to try some of the audio bend features on a vocal track so I duplicated the track, both by the duplicate track function and manually copy and pasting the material to a new track. When I do anything to the duplicated track (analyzing the transients for example) the same process occurs on the original track even though it is not selected. I want to leave my original track as is and only make changes to the duplicate. Seems simple enough, what am I doing wrong or how do I accomplish duplicating a track to experiment with without affecting the original. Thanks for your time!

Yep, I've had this issue too but can't remember exactly what the solution was. Per the v3 manual maybe these terms will explain it. Or get the ball rolling so someone else can answer. Duplicate Shared (pg 93) When you duplicate an Event normally, each duplicate is treated as a separate Event, and edits made to one duplicate are not reflected in the other copies.

If you want to duplicate an Instrument Part and link the content of the duplicates to that of the original Part, select the Part and choose Duplicate Shared from the Edit menu, or press [Shift] + [D] on the keyboard. A ghost icon appears on the original Part and any Shared duplicates, to alert you that those copies are now 'Shared'.

Any edits made to the original Part or a Shared copy are applied to all instances of that Part. My input: So this is for Events on the same track. Shift+D may just be a switch to link or separate your events so editing is either shared or separated. Does this work on tracks too? Audio Parts (pg 94) It is often convenient to merge multiple separate Events into a single object in order to move them all together or simply to clean up the Arrangement. This is accomplished with Audio Parts.

To create an Audio Part, select the Audio Events and then press [ G] on the keyboard. This makes the separate Events appear and function as a single Event in the arrangement while also appearing and functioning as separate Events in the Editor. It is then much simpler to, for instance, duplicate a chorus in the arrangement and retain access to the individual Events for editing crossfades and other details. Note that Audio Parts support shared, or ghost, copies, with the exception of any Event FX PreSonus Studio One 3 Reference Manual English v1.0.0.9 (unofficial by DAW.one) 94 which are strictly per Event instance. My input: It seems that ' G' is a switch that allows event (and tracks?) to function independantly from each other. Hopefully someone can clarify and I'm at work so I can't view my options and settings to see if there's something in there for this.

I am having the same issue reported by others. I want to take a vocal track and edit it Melodyne and then create a contrasting track with a slightly different set of notes.

When I duplicate the track, or Alt + Drag the track or copy it in any way -- The edits I make in Melodyne have NO impact on the track. It stays like the original. I have tried the Control + B command and still when editing with Melodyne, I can't play with the notes. The ONLY solution I have found is to record tracks over.which seems like a total waste of time. So to summarize: Working with a VST like melodyne, I can find no possible way to create track variations.because the Melodyne edits do not take on the second track, even when working with Command B function. And yes.software is totally up to date.
